I’m an Aunt!

This past weekend, I flew to Reno to visit my Dad and meet my nephew. Unfortunately Jackson had not shown up yet (he was due Oct. 16). We still had a nice weekend and my mother in law took me shopping for maternity clothes after we had a yummy lunch at the Hacienda with my father-in-law. I had my first experience at Kohl’s and got some great clothes for pretty awesome prices.

I arrived on Friday and was scheduled to leave Tuesday at 10am. I was truly beginning to think I wasn’t going to meet my nephew, until abotu 4am on Monday morning when Lisa woke me up and told me that Jennifer’s water broke. My dad took them over to the hospital where she was given pitocin to induce labor. After a really long day of labor, at 10:00pm the Dr. finally decided to do a C-Section and at 10:32pm Jackson Dennis arrived into this world. Weighing in at 10lbs. 6oz, he was by far the largest baby born that day

The next morning I got to hold him before I left for the airport. He is a good baby and should be home by now.

Jennifer is doing really well and also went home yesterday, she is a trooper for carrying such a big baby and I know will be a great mom.

The grandparents are in love and Grandpa is looking forward to having another man in the house and will be getting golf clubs for the boy very soon.
