Hello everyone,

It’s been a while since we have posted anything, this we will readily admit. Life has been crazy the past week or two as we have been gearing up for our move to an area just outside the beltway. On Tuesday we voted, we had difference of opinion in who to vote for and we were respectful of each other’s decision. What is most important to us is that we are exercising our right to vote, no matter who it is for. Because of Christine’s occupation, we cannot divulge who we voted for exactly as it would violate the ethics of being a social studies teacher.

On Tuesday the weather seemed to be the biggest foe to our happiness as it took both of us nearly four hours to get home from work. Due to some freak of nature, if you want to call the inclement weather that, traffic was backed up in every direction on just about every road. It felt like sitting on a freeway in LA in the middle of an afternoon on a Wednesday, if you can relate. Terrible, terrible traffic conditions.

Well enough about us. I would like to take this opporutnity to ask you to support something I am working to accomplish at work for United Cerebral Palsy. I have established a community on Change.org called “Support People with Disabilities where I have posted videos, news, recommended support of politicians and other nonprofits as well as actions that people can consciously take to support people with disabilities. Please check it out. Also, if you would like to only support United Cerebral Palsy on Change.org, you can do so.

I have immersed myself into the world of social networking in an effort to changes the mindset that people can only help in-person by volunteering or only if they are a big donor to a nonprofit. This doesn’t have to be the case and we can create an impact much larger than ourselves by spreading the word. Please take the time to take a look. Thanks.

Hey Will, thanks a lot for sending me that link to Ludacris’ work with Stand Up 101. I edited my entry to include both the YouTube clip and the Change.org United Cerebral Palsy page! Thanks for checking out my baby blog. 🙂 BR/BR/S.
