She’ll have fun, fun, fun in the warm California sun!

pAinsleigh and I took a quick trip to Southern California. Will stayed home with Toby and Tess. The three of them enjoyed a nice weekend once our heater got fixed.

We left on Saturday morning (it was 8 degrees in DC that morning) and we arrived Saturday afternoon (it was 78 degrees in SD that afternoon) to a very very happy Noni.

It was so wonderful to spend the weekend with my mom. We had a busy weekend but above all I warmed myself and relaxed.

On Sunday we drove up to Orange County to the Irvine Spectrum to meet with one of my very best friends, Alexys who had a little girl two months ago, Eleanor. We had a great lunch with her. Being mommies together is so surreal and amazing at the same time.

Ainsleigh was so tired from her day of socializing she fell asleep before we got out of the parking garage and slept the entire way home.

On Sunday we got up and headed to the Wild Animal Park. She LOVED the zebra on the carousel (how the heck do you spell that?)

The wild animal park wasn’t exactly the best for a small child, I think the zoo would have been better, but never the less, we did have fun with her. So much fun she pooped out just as we arrived to the lions who were all pooped out too!

After a bath and another good nap, we headed to my cousins (her godparents) house and had a nice dinner. Their son who is almost 6 (he tells everyone he is her godbrother) was so excited to see her, he wouldn’t leave her alone. He just wanted to hold her and kiss her and love her.

I took tons of photos, here is a slideshow. Will already edited a couple and they are located in the photostream in the right sidebar of our blog.

Didn’t have time to look at all of them this a.m. as I was headed to a meeting in Napa. Now, I’ve seen them all and I will be happy for a few days without more pictures. What a great time Ainsleigh was having, as well as the rest of you, especially Brian. That was great of Bonnie to treat you two to a flight out to warm San Diego. Thanks for putting them all on-line.BR/Love, BR/Nana

Opps, yes of course Ryan – had another child on my mind. Was he impressed with Ainsleigh’s two teeth? When I enlarge the bath tub pictures I can see them too. All that hard chewing brought them through. Bet you two miss the SD sunshine this week.BR/Love you,BR/Nana
