Tired of waiting for baby!

Toby sleeping it offSo here we are just a few days away from Ainsleigh’s due date and I think I wore the dogs out today. I have been off work since last Thursday (so one week) and finally feel rested.

I even had the energy to clean the house today, I wanted to get in one last good cleaning before Ainsleigh arrived (even though I know my mother will not find it clean enough and will clean for me-she always does-good thing Nana is not coming, she would really want to clean up-they both hate all the dog hair). I did some laundry as well so we would have clean sheets and towels when we come home from the hospital.

Toby and Tess do not like when I clean, they don’t like mops or brooms and Tess really hates the vaccuum, she chases it and tries to bite it. I did vaccuum the couch, knowing we will have visitors I put the blankets Nana made for them on the couch to help avoid as much hair as possible. There is no way to break them of being on the furniture as they are pretty used to it at this point.

Tess is sleepyAs for my update, Will and I went to my Dr. yesterday and I am barely starting to dialate, which she felt was a good thing at this stage and the baby’s head is pretty far down and the Dr. again thought that was a great sign. She is estimating Ainsleigh will be in the 7lb range (Will and I still think 8lb range) so at this point we are still hoping we won’t have to be induced. My mom will arrive on the 22nd and my dad arrives on the 24th so both grandparents said as long as she is here before they leave they will be happy-I on the other hand would like to be home from the hospital when they get here, just because I am tired of being pregnant and am ready to meet our daughter.

Will walks with me every night, because that is supposed to help bring on labor, and I recently bought an oh so flattering maternity swimsuit so I can swim at the pool down the street to help with my sore joints and take the weight off for a bit. Otherwise I hang out around the house trying to beat the heat. I have been trying to keep my feet up as much as possible and just relax because I know this is my last chance to do this for 18+ years.

We are still planning our trip out west in July/August and will update the blog with more info once we know it.

Hopefully we won’t have too many more updates until our baby annoucement! Ta ta for now!!!

Now slowly, oh so slowly, move the dog’s blankets to the floor and they’ll soon learn to stay off the furniture. Babies belong on the furniture, not dogs.BR/Love you,BR/Nana

Ahh I have tried that blanket on the floor thing, they are not interested. With the heat they have been on the floor a lot more because the hardwood is much cooler, but they think they are babies and like to be on the couch and bed as much as possible. At least they sleep in crates when we are gone and at night.

Hang in there! Like you said, last chance to rest for the next 18years or so! The doctors always estimated my babies small as well.

The wait is almost over, and yes, the doggies will want to stay where they feel the most comfortable. Good luck with the arrival of Ainsley, she will be a delight to all i am sure. Love Sharon

I have been doing a lot to get out all of the personal excitement before the baby is born as well; video games, action movies; baseball; etc. All to await the baby’s arrival.
