We’ve found a new place

So, Christine and I found a new place this past weekend. As I start school this week, today actually, I wanted to get it out of the way before I went back as I know how much reading I was in for with six books for one class alone out of the two I am taking.

6574 Yadkin Court, Alexandria, VA 22310The place is a three bedroom townhouse with a backyard (we all know Toby and Tess are going to love that, finally being off of a leash to their own privacy when conducting their business). What is so great about this house is that the person renting it to us gave us a lease with the option to buy later on (we will re-discuss in six months). She had it on the market for $350k for about a year and couldn’t sell it so she put it up for lease.

The house has many new additions. There is a new hardwood floor, new cabinets in the kitchen, new appliances and new bathroom sinks and vanities in every bathroom (2.5 bathrooms). Also, I believe that she had central air installed, so it should be good on heating/AC bills.

It’s about a 1-1.5 mile walk to the Franconia-Springfield metro, much closer than our place now that shuttles me to the Pentagon City Metro Stop. So when it is warm, I can huff it and it won’t be a big deal with Christine, most likely tending to the baby until I get home at night. It will also make it easier when I have late classes so she won’t have to wake the baby up to come get me at a metro.

We will be moving during the last weekend of February.

We are very excited about having more space and a yard again, albiet it is not as big as the yard we had when we were living on Thornton Street in Sparks, NV.

Take care and we hope all is going well with your lives.

Now you will need a lawn mower Will. Wish you had this electric one I have. It’s too heavy for me to handle easily. It’s also too heavy to ship to you.BR/I hope you have a lot of help with your moving.BR/Nana Jean

Congrats to you both! I don’t need to tell you how nice it is to move out of an apartment tower and into a house, and I only lived in one for a few months!
