Why Don’t Vacuums Come With Instructions?

pSo, Christine was doing some house cleaning today and for a while now we have been wondering why the hose on our Dyson was loosing suction. We, for the longest time, were thinking that the Dyson commercials were full of crap until we found the root of the problem. There is a filter at the very base of the vacuum different from the one that makes up the cyclone filter at the top of the tube. It turns out that, after doing some research on the Dyson Web site and because we bought the floor model from Macy’s over a year ago it didn’t come with instructions that we should have been cleaning this filter once every 3-4 months. Similar to when we should be cleaning our heater filter for our house. Well we keep up on the house heating filter, but we didn’t know any better with the Dyson. So now we have some pictures.

Beware they could gross you out.
