Baby Registry

When my Mom was here for Thanksgiving we took a little trip to Babies R Us, the idea was to start narrowing down things. Of course as we started to do this, we decided we might as well start a registry. I cannot believe how many things a baby needs and that nothing is under $100. Will and I have started saving now.

Of course we couldn’t find everything at Babies R Us. Since we are not finding out what we are having we have to go with a neutral nursery theme and we both agreed we like the jungle sort of look. We did find what we liked at Target (and guess what it was cheaper, as are a lot of things at Target). So the plan will be to get as much as we can at Target. I started a registry there, more than anything I wanted to use the registries to keep track of what we wanted and what we wind up getting. (here are the links to our registries in case you want to see the insane amount of stuff our newest addition will be needing Babies R Us and Target)

We did get our first baby item in the mail today, my sister had a baby in October and if you saw anything about his birth-he was a big boy-so my dad sent me all the newborn diapers that didn’t fit Jackson. Those things are tiny, I don’t even know if they will fit our baby seeing as how I was a pretty big baby.

Will and I aren’t planning on buying anything until we get to the third trimester because we have to clean out our spare room first and because its too easy to get carried away.

For those of you wondering about a shower, since people have asked me, we are not having a regular shower since we live so far away. We are however planning a “meet the baby” party in August when we head west for a couple of weeks. We are planning to spend some time in Reno, Northern California, and then end in San Diego.

Strange, I raised three babies without two thirds of the things shown.

Ohh-I love the jungle theme, very cute. And you definately need a baby bjorn, I use mine almost every day, Bella was in it for 16 months, and Sophie loves it already.

Isn’t it crazy how much those little boogers need?! I mean my gosh, it’s crazy. I did the same thing, registgered at Babies R Us and Target and mostly used them as a list to remind myself what I need to get.BR/BR/The good thing though, Babies R Us will often send you coupons for a lot of that stuff, so wait until those come around to buy, it’ll save you some $$$.BR/BR/It’s exciting!

Funny, I don’t remember going to Target to register…Oh well, a mother’s job is never complete and always one step ahead of the father’s.

The jungle theme is a very cute idea! I think it is cool you are going to to be surprised to find out the gender….I don’t think I could wait that long! I would say to get a baby sling (or wrap) too. I see them everywhere on base and mothers swear by them (and you know how the military procreates!)…Also, I am sorry anonymous above was so rude 🙁
